Santar Vila Jardim

The vision of winemaker Pedro de Vasconcellos e Souza: unite several aristocratic families of the ancient village of Santar around a concept as unusual as it is beautiful. Breaking down walls between neighboring properties. Connecting spaces that had been separate for centuries. Making bridges between generations.

The wines are grown in plots formerly occupied by orchards and kitchen gardens land embedded within the living village, surrounded by biodiversity, dry-stone fences and century-old hedgerows. This integration of vineyard into village (rather than monoculture fields) gives the wines a distinctly different character: more aromatic, more textural, more alive.

The ex-libris is the 17th-century manor, Casa dos Condes de Santar e Magalhães. All wines: Integrated Protection certified, Vegan certified.
